Barket Epstein attorney Alexander Klein recently secured the return of a seized automobile and $59,000 in U.S. currency that was improperly taken from a Barket Epstein client who had been wrongly suspected of having committed a federal offense.
Mr. Klein was able to convince the government not only that the seizure was improper, but that no federal charges were warranted.
“These seizures were made pursuant to civil forfeiture laws,” explained Mr. Klein. “And while these laws can be draconian, they also contain certain protections for people falling into their grips. Fortunately, we were able to use these protections to convince the federal government of their overreaching and to help our client recover his assets.”
