Family Looking for Closure After 24 Years; Website, Tip Line Created

Binghamton, New York— Cal Harris and his children held a press conference to announce a $100,000 reward for information about the disappearance of Michele Anne Harris on September 12, 2001, that results in the recovery of her remains.

The family urged the public to share tips on www.findmicheleharris.com or by calling (888) 644 0889.

Background: Michele Harris disappeared on September 12, 2001, and, sadly, is presumed to have been murdered. Mrs. Harris was last seen at the foot of her driveway in the early morning hours of September 12, 2001, next to her van and a black pickup truck, arguing with a man believed to be or who fit the description of Stacy Stewart.

The van was found at the foot of the driveway a few hours later by Barbara Thayer, a housekeeper and babysitter to the Harris family. Missing also was a small bag of expensive jewelry which included a diamond ring, tennis bracelet, pearl earrings, all valued at approximately $15,000– $20,000.

Mrs. Harris has not been seen or heard from since that day in 2001. Her four children want to know what happened and want to recover her remains, so they can finally have a proper burial and service.

In an effort to locate her, Cal Harris is offering a reward for information resulting in the recovery of Michele’s remains, regardless of anyone being prosecuted for her death.

Reward specifics: A reward of $100,000.00 is extended to the first person to offer information that leads directly to the successful discovery of the verified body of Michele Harris. This offer is not available to those with a legal obligation to provide such information, including, inter alia, any members of law enforcement tasked with investigating the death of Michele Harris. The reward may be divided equitably if multiple parties join together to provide such information. This offer remains valid until her remains are recovered, unless otherwise withdrawn or modified.

All tips should be submitted via the website findmicheleharris.com or by calling 888 644 0889. Confidentiality will be maintained. Any disputes arising from this reward offer will be adjudicated exclusively in the State of New York and will be subject exclusively to the laws of the State of New York.
